Reach to Teach aims to ‘reach the un-reached’: providing education to children aged 4 to 14 in remote rural areas of India. We believe that education provides a foundation to allow people to create better lives for themselves.

Reach to Teach

  • We teach children both in numeracy and literacy and in ‘life’ skills such as health education and environmental awareness
  • Because the villages we reach are so remote, we recruit our teachers directly from the centres we serve and train them at our purpose built teacher training centre.
  • Our teaching curriculum has been developed by a joint UK and Indian team. We combine best practice in primary teaching with the knowledge that each child should continue to develop knowledge of their own tribal language and culture
